How to Add a Trusted Site to Google Chrome (MAC Instructions)

  1. Go to url https://onls.securemsg.com (by typing in the url into the address bar or clicking the link)
  2. Click on the padlock icon in the address bar
  3. Click on "Certificate Information"
  4. There should be a blue-framed "Certificate" icon w/ a gold seal. Drag this to your desktop (or anywhere else)
  5. Double-click on the certificate file (should be named hostname + '.cer'), and it will open in Keychain
  6. Go to your login chain & category "Certificates". the certificate should be in there w/ a white-on-red X icon
  7. Double click the certificate to open the details
  8. Click the triangle next to "Trust" to expand the tree
  9. Next to "When using this certificate:" select "Always Trust" from the pulldown. The red 'x' should turn into a blue '+'
  10. Go to url https://www.fsnbhb.com (by typing in the url into the address bar or clicking the link)
  11. Click on the padlock icon in the address bar

  12. Click on "Certificate Information"

  13. There should be a blue-framed "Certificate" icon w/ a gold seal. Drag this to your desktop (or anywhere else)

  14. Double-click on the certificate file (should be named hostname + '.cer'), and it will open in Keychain

  15. Go to your login chain & category "Certificates". the certificate should be in there w/ a white-on-red X icon

  16. Double click the certificate to open the details

  17. Click the triangle next to "Trust" to expand the tree

  18. Next to "When using this certificate:" select "Always Trust" from the pulldown. The red 'x' should turn into a blue '+'
  19. Close the details window & enter your password (if necessary) to make the change to your keychain
  20. Restart Chrome & you should no longer get a non-trusted site error
